We always process personal data within the UK, unless it is necessary to transfer data outside the EU for a specific client project. Research participants will be notified if the project requires data to be transferred outside the EU and the safeguards that will be used to protect their data, before commencing.
The security of personal data is important. We use a wide range of organisational, technical, physical and operational controls to prevent unauthorised access to data, which are assessed on a regular basis.
We will not sell your data to third parties for use outside the activities that we agree with you. We will not share data with 3rd parties unless they are specifically processing that data under contract, on our behalf.

1) Tell Us What You Think community members
When you sign up to our Tell Us What You Think community, we use the information that you provide to identify research projects that may be suitable for you to attend with your consent.
Market research activity needs to be as representative as possible and may need to focus on individuals with certain interests, characteristics or beliefs. You will be asked questions about your background, lifestyle and products and services that you use.
Some research activities may require collection of sensitive data, such as ethnic origins, health, religion, sexual orientation or political beliefs. You are not under any obligation to provide this information and we will always obtain explicit consent at the point of data capture.
We will retain your information until you ask to be removed from the Tell Us What You Think community or request that you are not considered for future market research activity. You can delete your profile via the website or contact info@criteria.co.uk. We will remove your details within 28 days. We will also add your email address and phone number to our Do Not Contact database to ensure that we don't contact you again.
We use well established IT service providers in the UK to processes the data.
2) When people visit our website
We use a technology cookies as part of a normal business procedure to track patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site and to manage certain elements of the way you view our website for more information please view our cookie notice.

As an individual whose personal data is processed by Criteria you have the following rights:
